Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) Submissions
Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP) is a detailed, well thought-out document that provides direction and information on what activities an agency will focus on during a storm. It includes preparation activities as well as response activities to help mitigate losses from a disaster or emergency situation.
The Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (ACHA) requires medical facilities to have a CEMP updated and reviewed annually.
The Florida Department of Health is responsible for reviewing CEMPs from the following agencies:
- Home Health Aid
- Home Medical Equipment Providers
- Hospices
- Nurse Registries
ACHA’s Emergency Services page provides additional information regarding this requirement as well as templates to aid in the creation of your local CEMP.
