School Health services are vital to schools because children spend over one-third of their day at school. Without school health services students would not have access to immediate health care needs at the time it is most needed.

School Health staff provide services to a steady flow of students in the school health clinic for any number of reasons, including but not limited to:

  • Administration of prescription and over-the-counter medications
  • Administration of state-mandated health screenings (scoliosis, hearing, vision, height, and weight)
  • Emergency first aid treatment
  • Handling acute illnesses

  • Health examination within 12 month period of initial entrance
  • Health and Emergency Form
