Jasper, Fla. —The Florida Department of Health in Madison and Hamilton counties have lifted a health alert issued on February 12, 2021.

Water samples taken by the Florida Department of Health indicate the river water meets surface water quality standards ensuring the public may resume water-related activities. All future sample results can be viewed on the Florida Department of Environmental Protection site: Floridadep.gov/dear/watershed-monitoring-section/content/suwannee-river-basin-sampling-locations
